Anyone can comment on any post on the blog. If you register for the site, your e-mail will not be used for any purpose other than the registration. Spam (i.e. advertisements, off-topic links, etc.) will be deleted.
CONTRIBUTE ENTRIES
Additional contributors are welcomed. If you would like to become a contributor, leave a comment on this post (or use the contact form) describing your areas of interest. PRODUCER/VENDOR PROFILES
If you are a local grower or producer, or if you are a vendor who sells locally-grown products, I would be happy to feature you in a profile. You do not need to become a blog contributor. You can contact me for further details. Photos of your products and/or farm are welcomed and encouraged.
PUBLICIZE
Download a flier to display or distribute.
CONTACT YOUR LEGISLATORS
Contact your legislators to tell them your opinions on any of the issues you read about here.
JOIN THE LOCAL FOOD MOVEMENT
Get involved with one of the local organizations supporting local food. In Baldwin County, AL, there’s the Fairhope Local Food Production Initiative (contact Ed Lawrence for details). Along the Gulf Coast there’s Real Food Gulf Coast. There will soon (hopefully) be one in Mobile.
PLANT A GARDEN
Start an edible garden in your yard, in your community, or even just in your kitchen window.
SHOP LOCALLY
Visit one of the many farmers markets, farm stands, or stores that sell locally grown food. They’re often discussed on this blog.
