Working Cows Dairy at Windmill Market on Saturday, August 21

WHAT: Organic milk for sample and sale
WHEN: Saturday, August 21 from 9am – 1pm
WHERE: Windmill Market, Fairhope
COST: $7.50/gallon, $4/half gallon (according to the Working Cows web site)

This just in, Working Cows Dairy will be at Fairhope’s Windmill Market this Saturday with samples and milk for sale. “If the support is good, [they] will continue to try to meet the needs of ‘good-milk’ customers in this area.” I went looking for their milk a few weeks ago, but the folks at Windmill Market told me they needed to have a steady demand in order to stock it, since they have to buy the product in quantity.

So if you would like to see Alabama organic milk available in our area, come out and show your support by buying some on Saturday!

ADDED 8/21/10:

Milk and chocolate chunk cookie.

Here is the glass of milk and the chocolate chunk cookie my daughter had for a snack after we got home. Note the creamy, almost golden color of the milk (and not the dirt in my grout!).

Thanks, it was a pleasure meeting you. I hope we (collectively) can make it worth your while to bring your milk down here. It is delicious! So rich and flavorful. My daughter was begging me for milk all day!

YES! I was there (and bought ‘only’ 4 gallons! We’ve drank a 1/2 gallon in 24 hrs). Thank you for coming – I’ve been a fan of the milk since I bought it a month or so ago. As Ang said, I certainly hope there was enough interest so that you’ll keep coming back. It’s definitely ALOT better than the grocery store variety.
