Local Food Production Initiative Meeting on November 16
WHAT: Local Food Production Initiative general membership meeting
WHEN: Monday, November 16 at 6:30pm
WHERE: the parlor of the Methodist Church Christian Life Center, in Fairhope
TOPIC: Elaine Snyder-Conn, Chair of the Community Gardens Committee, will report on progress to date in working for the establishment of community gardens and a youth garden in Fairhope. Jo Ann Wettlaufer, Secretary of the Local Food Production Initiative and an active member of the Committee, will report on the research she has done in planning for the construction of the raised beds planned for the community gardens. Also, Elaine and Jo Ann will report on the Alabama Food Summit they have just attended in Birmingham.
ADDITIONALLY: There will be a meeting at 5:30 pm, just before the general membership meeting, for those interested in participating in the Rotary Youth Garden project.
